ABOUT
Christine Dixon is the Innovation Coordinator TOSA for Double Peak K8 School in San Marcos Unified School District. She leads the Innovation Program for all TK-8 grades in the area of technology, coding, robotics, engineering, design thinking, and making in the school’s Makerspace. Christine designs the lessons and then co-teaches with teachers in the Innovation Lab and Makerspace.
Mrs. Dixon has been an educator for 17 years, previously teaching 2nd and 3rd grades. She also worked as an EdTech TOSA for SMUSD and worked with teachers and students district-wide on implementing technology into the classroom.
Christine graduated and received her teaching credential from California State University San Marcos. She has a Masters in Educational Technology and a Career Technical Education (CTE) credential in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
Christine was awarded SDCUE (San Diego Computer Using Educators) TOSA of the Year in 2018. She also served on the Executive Board for The San Marcos Promise’s LEAP program. LEAP (Learning Enrichment to Achieve Promise) offers courses that allow students to explore their interests and discover new passions. The program is designed to build real-world skills while introducing students to a variety of professions.
